PMC, Intermediate, Enamels

The session will focus on making pendants enhanced by adding enamels. Enameling is the process of applying a thin coat of finely ground glass to a metal. When heated to a high temperature, the glass melts and fuses to the metal. Enamel applied to PMC produces a tremendous variety of color effects. The knowledge gained and the skills developed differ with each person and every experiment. Bring tool kit, work surface and work to be critiqued, fired, finished, or repaired. You may decide to enamel existing pieces in addition to your class pieces. Bring lunch.

PMC, Intermediate, Bookmarks

Assemble an elegant bookmark with attention focused on making appropriate bails for the way you want your piece to hang. Pendants, earrings, etc., all need an attractive and functional "hole" or bail for attaching the piece to a chain, earwire, or bookmark. Bring your basic tool kit, work surface, and pieces of finished work along with odds and ends of beads and findings to incorporate into a show piece. The same techniques used can be integrated into necklaces, earrings, key fobs, etc. for other gifts. PMC will be available for purchase. Bring lunch.
